The time taken to process UK visa applications can vary greatly from one region to another, and in some cases can take up to three months or even longer. Therefore, it is advisable that you apply for your visa in good time for the event. Please contact your local British Consulate for further information.
In general, people on Standard Visitor Visa can attend up to 30 days training course if the courses “are recreational and don’t count towards a qualification”:

By air: The most convenient airport for Oxford is London Heathrow. There is frequent bus service from Heathrow to Oxford (recommended). There is also a good train connection between Heathrow and Oxford. London Gatwick Airport also has a direct bus connection with Oxford. Stansted Airport route is serviced relatively less frequently.
UK travel: There is a frequent bus service (every 8-10 minutes at peak hours) between Oxford and London operated by Oxford Bus Company andStagecoach/The Oxford Tube. There are also bus connections with many other UK cities. There are frequent direct trains between Oxford and London and regular links with the rest of the UK. By car: There is no prking at the venue, therefore, please use public transport. You may also use a number of Park & Ride facilities near Oxford.
